Details
The Awards Committee consists of:
  • A Chairman appointed by Section Governing Board (SGB) of AMPP India Chapter.
  • A panel of judges appointed by the Chairman for evaluation of applications received for various categories of awards.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reviewing completeness of all applications after opening them.
  • Assigning a confidential code number to each application and masking applicant names in all forwarded documents.
  • Forwarding applications and evaluation sheets to judges in sealed envelopes marked “confidential.”
  • Reviewing evaluation sheets to confirm compliance with guidelines.
  • Informing award winners and presenting awards during the ceremony in consultation with AIC.
Each judge is responsible for:
  • Evaluating all applications according to specified guidelines.
  • Forwarding evaluation sheets in a sealed cover to the Chairman.
  • Attending a meeting to compute total marks of applicants without names disclosed.

Criterion for Evaluation of Applicants

Details
Applicants shall be evaluated according to standard guidelines and criteria by an independent panel of judges coordinated by the Chairman. The applicant’s identity shall not be disclosed to judges, ensuring selection based solely on merit.
Attributes for Individual Awards (except Student Awards):
  • Knowledge & Technical Competence: Education, General Experience, and Experience Relating to Award Applied for.
  • Contribution to Corrosion Science & Technology: Publications, Technology Development, Innovative Solutions, and Training Programs.
  • Corrosion Awareness Promotion Activities: Memberships, Conference Participation, and Awards Received.
Attributes for Excellence in Innovation Awards:
  • Patent awarded for hardware/software product or innovative process solution.
  • Clear statement of issues addressed by innovation.
  • Quantifiable evidence of adoption and impact of innovation.
  • Certificate of incorporation or partnership deed.
Attributes for Laboratory Award:
  • Objectives of the Laboratory.
  • Technical Competence: Certifications, manpower, and facilities.
  • Experience: Number of tests conducted and R&D projects.
  • Publications and Contributions.
Attributes for Student Awards (Thesis):
  • Knowledge & Technical Competence: Education and Experience.
  • Thesis Work: Topic, Examiner Comments, Publications, and Practical Applications.
  • Corrosion Awareness Promotion Activities: Conferences and Awards Received.
