Dr. N Rajendran

Chapter Vice-Chairman

Prof. N Rajendran obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Madras, Chennai, in 1996. He joined as a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, Anna University, Chennai, in 1998. He completed his Post Doctoral research at the Corrosion Resistant Design Group, Steel Research Centre, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan, and has been a guest faculty at NIMS, Japan. Prof. N Rajendran is an internationally respected corrosion science and technology specialist, with a long-standing reputation within the corrosion community for his research into various corrosion phenomena of metals, particularly stainless steels and titanium, with an orientation towards biomaterial development. He is a recognized expert in the field of biomaterials and polymer composites. His research results have had a significant impact on both the corrosion and biomaterial communities. Prof. Rajendran has served on numerous committees, advisory boards, and steering groups within the wider materials/biomaterial’s community. Prof. Rajendran has guided over 26 Ph.D. scholars and more than 15 master’s students. He has completed major research projects sponsored by AICTE, CSIR, UGC-DAE, ICMR, UGC, DST, CSIR, AERB, and UGC. He has published more than 150 papers in international journals and over 160 conference proceedings. Prof. Rajendran has received more than 40 best paper awards. Awards & Honors Prof. Rajendran has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards for his contributions in the field of corrosion science and technology.

Mr. N Manohar Rao

Chapter Delegate

Mr. N Manohar Rao is a Civil Engineer from Mysore University. He has over 35 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in all business units. He has retired as Executive Director (HSSE & Biofuels) from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd in June 2018. He has been a member of NACE International and AMPP since 2002 and has worked in all the positions on the board. He is presently the Chapter Delegate of AMPP India Chapter. He has presented many technical papers in CORCONs. He is a recipient ofl2th Corrosion Awareness Award for Excellence in Corrosion, from NACE International India Section; The NACE Distinguished Service Award in 2020 from NACE International India Section. He also held the position of Vice-Chair of the NACE EAPA Area. He is also member of various technical bodies like the Institute of Engineers. He is a regular faculty in the training programs of NACE International India Section/ AMPP India Chapter.

Mr. Denzil D’costa

Mr. Denzil D’Costa is a Mechanical Engineer with a Management Diploma in Quality control & ISO certified, A NACE Certified Coating Inspector, presently working as National Sales Manager for Graco Hong Kong Ltd., over 22 years’ experience in Paints and Coating Applications equipment’s in India and Abroad.
He has presented papers at various conferences and is a regular faculty member of educational institute & organization. Mr. Denzil is co-ordinator of NIGIS Educational Corrosion Awareness program on coating Applicator.

Currently serving as the Country Manager at International Certification Services Pvt Ltd, a leading Conformity Assessment Body, responsible for the growth and development of the organization’s Certification and Inspection Services.

Responsibilities – The Country Manager oversees the following: Management and strategic direction of certification and inspection services in the country. Business development and growth strategies for expanding services. Collaboration with industry stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets global standards. Leadership and management of teams within the country operations.

Area of Specialization & Work Experience- More than 34 years’ experience in the Paint industry serving the heavy-duty and high-performance marine, protective coatings industry. He has worked in Akzo Nobel, Sigma (PPG), Shalimar Paints, and Excel India. Achievements -NACE (AMPP) India’s educational training program faculty member. Visiting faculty member in other organizations, Presented papers at various technical conferences.
