Advancing Materials Performance & Corrosion Control in India

Established in 1992, AMPP India Chapter has been at the forefront of promoting corrosion awareness, protection, and control across India.

About The Chapter

AMPP India Chapter (previously NACE International India Section) was established in 1992 and is one of the largest and most active sections of AMPP. The chapter plays a significant role in promoting corrosion awareness, protection, and control across India through education, certification, and industry engagement.

World Corrosion Awareness Day

World Corrosion Awareness Day is observed every year on 24 April to highlight the importance of corrosion prevention and control. To commemorate this day, AMPP India Chapter awards individuals and institutions for their significant contributions to corrosion awareness and developments in the field of corrosion science and technology.

The AMPP India Chapter sponsors student chapters, one each in Mumbai, Chennai and Vadodara, Mangalore, Bangalore. AMPP student chapters had organized “CORSYM” international corrosion conference for students. World Corrosion Awararness Day-24 April, remind the world that “Rust Never Sleeps” every year AMPP (NACE) India celebrates world corrosion day with University, Institute, Industry & NMRL DRDO, Govt. of India with technical activities / workshop.

Our Commitment

AMPP India is committed to enhancing the quality and range of its services and activities in the field of corrosion awareness and dissemination of knowledge on corrosion, its protection, and control in India and worldwide.
