Guidelines for Submission Of Applications
Award Year
Commencing from 1st July 2023 and ending on 30th June 2024
Eligibility & Application Restrictions
- One applicant can apply for only one award.
- Applications will not be considered if the applicant has received any AIC Corrosion Awareness Award in the preceding 5 years.
Award Ranking & Restrictions
The individual awards are ranked in the following order:
- Lifetime Achievement
- Meritorious Contribution
- Excellence in Corrosion Science and Technology
- Distinction in Corrosion Science and Technology
A recipient of a higher-ranked award is not permitted to apply for a lower-ranked award.
Application Submission Guidelines
- The application should be submitted in the AIC Application Form for the respective award.
- Application must include:
– Part A – General (Enclosed with essential documents listed in Section A of the Application Contents).
– Part B – Confidential (Enclosed with documents listed in Section B of the Application Contents).
Specific Requirements / Conditions:
- All details in Part A and Part B should be typed in Times Roman / Arial, Font Size 10.
- Part B (Confidential) must not contain the applicant’s name anywhere.
- All enclosures should be numbered and titled as per the Contents of Application.
- Enclosures should be typed on A4 size paper using:
– Font: Times Roman / Arial
– Font Size: 11 (Text), 12 (Bold for Headings)
– Line Spacing: 1.5 - If additional space is required, extra sheets may be used.
- Applicants for Student Awards must enclose:
– A copy of their thesis
– Published research papers
